Day 1 - Negombo
Finally! Now we are in Sri Lanka. The trip over here went well, 15/12 02:00 PM we did fly from Copenhagen, Denmark with Emirates and landed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 11:15 PM. We did wait for three hours there and then we went over to the next flight for Colombo, we landed 16/12 08:30 AM in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Now we are 5,023 miles or 8083 kilometers from our home in Helsingborg, Sweden.
After a long day, we did go by tucktuck from the airport to the nearest bus station and from there another bus to Negombo bus station and from there the same thing again "another bus" to the area Lewis place.
We walked around for a while to find a cheap room and finally we got one at Sea Joy for 1800sl rupees/88SEK with breakfast included after barging.

Sea Joy is about 150m from the sea, it's a relaxed place with good staff and pretty good rooms if you're not looking for a fancy one. We have our own bathroom, fan, mosquito net over the bed and our own balcony.
24 hours from we left home we could finally sleep for two hours, eat some food, walk on the beach and explore Negombo at sunset.
